Waterloo Team of Volunteers Success "The Friends of Old Christ Church" have been elected "Team of the Year for the North of England".

Marsh Christian Trust in conjunction with the Churches Conservation Trust awarded The "Friends" in recognition of their achievements in bringing Old Christ Church, a Grade II* listed building in Waterloo, back in to active use as a venue for community activity. attracting over 30,000 visitors per annum.
The Marsh Awards are a group of 41 awards given by Marsh Christian Trust in the areas of conservation , science the arts, heritage, literature and volunteering and recognise those who do it for love not money.
John Bramham, chairman of the Friends said on behalf of all the volunteers, "We are delighted and privileged to be in a position to help look after this magnificent example of late Victorian church architecture".
